The rose trellis, at the entrance to the garden was originally built as part of our deer defences, and now provides a home for the lovely apricot rose ‘Crown Princess Margareta’ along with Lonicera ‘Sweet Sue’ and several clematis, including 'Fujimusume', 'Etoile Violette' and 'Prince Charles'. The trellis has also helped filter the wind, providing protection to the hebes and other plants in the bed beneath.
